Nazia has been a massage therapist since 2015. She first qualified as a Reiki practitioner in 2011 while working in a mental health organisation in the NHS. Her personal experience of work-related stress helped her appreciate the benefits of therapies which led her to studying massage therapy. Since then, she has completed courses in hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage (level 3 and 4), and traditional Thai yoga massage. She is also a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA).
In December 2018, she left the NHS after nine years of administrative service to further her career in massage therapy.
In her spare time, Nazia is a long-distance runner and the regional representative of her running club. She has been running since 2013 starting with 5km runs and has progressed on to running marathons and ultramarathons.
Nazia firmly believes in the physical and psychological benefits of massage therapy, whether it’s for treating or managing an injury from endurance sports or relaxing the mind and body after a stressful week. She enjoys working with her clients to help them improve and maintain their health. The variety of clients she has treated include long-distance runners, amateur cyclists, dancers, journalists, lawyers, nurses and teachers. She also has clients who include massage therapy as part of their self-care for their mental health.
