Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a means of assessing imbalances in the body and of finding the best treatment to resolve that problem. Discovered in the last century it is a most useful and exciting assessment tool for identifying underlying causes of illness and the individual remedies needed. Awareness of its health benefits is increasing dramatically and kinesiology techniques are unique and extraordinary in their power.

Kinesiology is the science of muscle testing in relation to all the body functions. It was first developed from a system of structural muscle testing used for many years by orthodox medical practitioners. Non invasive testing of muscle responses is performed by the kinesiologist in order to obtain the body’s information – similar to accessing information from a computer’s memory banks.

In the last 25 years kinesiology has developed rapidly. The Western muscle testing method has been combined with the use of Chinese energy systems, test vials, biochemistry, nutrition, flower remedies and massage points. Test vials are usually homeopathic vials (small glass tubes with water in them) containing the energetic imprint of a substance that will cause a reaction in the muscle testing when relevant. With the use of test vials various bodily dysfunctions may be found, often unidentifiable by other means, and the best approach for treatment is determined. Kinesiology can also clear vast emotional problems and help you achieve greater energy levels and promote general well being.

Kinesiology is truly holistic in its approach, encompassing the physical, chemical, mental and emotional aspects of the individual. Kinesiology is as effective for providing pain relief and treating conditions such as common coughs and colds, headache and migraine and skin conditions including psoriasis as it is for the alleviation of symptoms associated with menopause and the treatment of stress and anxiety. Extensive clinical research has validated the many new developments and discoveries in kinesiology.

KINESIOLOGY CAN HELP:

  • Allergies and sensitivities – to foods and chemicals
  • Constant and repeating colds and coughs, low immunity
  • Eye conditions and macular degeneration
  • Male and female hormonal problems – including infertility and menopause
  • Acne, rashes and skin conditions – including eczema and psoriasis
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Digestion and gut problems
  • Candida
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Fears and phobias
  • Tiredness and lack of energy
  • Liver and gallbladder problems
  • Aches, pains and backache
  • Stress and poor memory
  • Arthritis and inflammation
  • Attention deficit disorders
  • Dyslexia

ALLERGY TESTING - with Kinesiology
Allergies may develop in a person for a number of different reasons. Sometimes people with allergies have other problems which predispose them to react to things in an allergic way.

Sometimes the body has reached a state of toxic overload which makes a person more sensitive to potential allergens (see Toxicity Testing). Food and environmental sensitivities are the cause (or part cause) of many common health problems today (fatigue and insomnia, weight gain, infertility, IBS, hayfever, sinusitis, etc). These causes can be identified by allergy testing.

You will be tested for a wide range of foods and allergens in order to identify the root cause(s) of the symptoms, like inflammation of the digestive tract. Very occasionally an elimination diet is recommended to a person who cannot be tested easily.

The aim of the treatment is to strengthen immunity, desensitise to the allergen, detoxify, and supplement and encourage attention to the diet. The ‘bigger picture’ of your health is taken into account and lifestyle factors such as stress, diet and eating habits and the home and work environments are considered. This information will provide the context for understanding your allergies and also for the individual treatment and advice you will need.

TOXICITY TESTING - with Kinesiology
More and more these days we feel unwell due to the growing number of toxins to which we are unknowingly exposed (for example, dental fillings, toiletries, processed foods). Toxic overload builds up in the body without our knowledge and after a period of time this can seriously undermine our health.
